Pagan Metal Drag? What?

Now Playing: The Horned Ghost and the Sorcerer by Elvenking

So in the realm of pagan art, we see music and visual arts (painting and crafting) all the time, but what about things like drag? Because drag is art, right?

Yeah, it actually makes more sense than one would initially expect. If you can put paganism into metal, why not put that combination into drag?

I am still distilling some elements of it, and I’ve been enjoying it so far. I have a playlist for it, and it’s a fun playlist. It has mostly Elvenking stuff, with some Falconer, some Orden Ogan, and a couple other artists sprinkled in there to keep it interesting.

But why am I doing this? Because drag is a performance art and I want to have my art as part of my practice. Drag is an extension of that.

I have some of the songs organised into a few different categories, with example titles of potential sets being “Antlers” or “Nature” for a general idea of what kinds of props and accessories I would want to include for the specific sets.

I have some of my looks on Instagram so far, which can be found under the handle @oakenshield.the.guardian.drag over there, and I plan to try to make some more stuff for that soon.
