Ashton Renaud (they/he/it) is a musician, recording engineer, mixing and mastering engineer, and composer. They specialize in melodic folk metal and orchestral video game music, using themes of nature and his games with friends as inspiration for its work.
Long Bio
Ashton Renaud (they/he/it) is a longtime musician, recording engineer, mixing and mastering engineer, and composer. Coming from a deeply artistic family, they started learning viola at 14, expanding to composing and arranging within months. He later expanded to bass guitar and classical voice as an adult, bringing together its love of classical music, traditional folk music, and heavy metal. They completed the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin College in Ottawa in 2026, taking his dedication to music into the studio realm. It now works as a session musician, studio sound engineer, and private music teacher, bringing together their roots as a classical musician and his unique blend of metal inspirations to create something entirely new.

Services
I am a recording engineer, mixing and mastering engineer, private music teacher for theory, session musician, and composer. My starting rates are listed below:
- Recording/mixing/mastering engineer: $30/hour, deposit to be negotiated based on the size of the project
- Session musician: $25/hour
- Music teaching: $30/hour
- Composer: To be negotiated based on the size of the project, including but not limited to instrumentation, length, intention of use, and division of rights.
